The Olympus Trip 600 is a snapshot camera from Olympus that was developed for the 35 mm format. The handling of this model is uncomplicated, and there are similar variants to the Olympus Trip AF 50 and Olympus Trip 500. The Trip was produced in a factory in China.
The camera's fixed lens has a focal length of 28 mm and a maximum aperture of f/6.7. The camera is ideal for snapshots, landscape shots and group pictures with its fixed focal length of 28 mm.
The focus is fixed and manual distance adjustment is not possible. A minimum distance of 100 cm from the subject is required to obtain sharp and detailed images. Macro shots are therefore not ideal with this model.
The exposure settings are controlled by the built-in light meter, which is designed for films with ISO 100 to ISO 400. The 35 mm camera has an automatic exposure function that does not allow the photographer to manually select the exposure time and aperture. The shutter speed is fixed at 1/100 second.
In poor lighting conditions, the built-in flash can be used, which has a range of up to 1.9 metres at a sensitivity of ISO 100. A tripod thread on the underside of the housing makes it easier to take group pictures, while there is no self-timer. However, there is a connection option
The camera requires two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*) to power its functions, although rechargeable batteries are a sustainable option.
