The Washi A 12 is a black and white film. The material on which this film is based was actually developed for reproduction in the production of motion pictures. It is characterized by fine grain and high contrast.
It is offered to photographers by the company “Film Washi” from Saint-Nazaire in France. The Washi A 12 is orthochromatically sensitized and cast on a polyester base. The maximum spectral sensitivity is 580 nm.
It is currently only available for 35 mm cameras. It should be exposed between ISO 2 and ISO 12, depending on the development. This must be done in a suitable black and white developer.

Calculation of the development solution
How much development solution do you need?
If the desired developer is not listed, the film exposed to ISO 12 can also be developed according to the Ilford Delta 400 development times.
Sample photos
The images were taken with an Olympus OM 2 and a 50 mm f/1.4. The Washi A was developed in Rodinal (1+50) for 12 minutes at 20 degrees.
