The Halina Vision XM is a compact camera for snapshots. It comes from the company Haking. A similar model with autofocus is the Halina Vision XAF.
The lens of the 35mm photo camera is permanently installed. The focal length of the optics is specified by the manufacturer as 35 mm. The focus settings are not adjustable. This model does not have an autofocus. A sliding door protects the lens from external influences.
The 35 mm camera is equipped with a built-in exposure meter. The camera technology sets the aperture and exposure time fully automatically, which means that no manual setting is required.
Of course, the camera does not lack a built-in flash. The flash can be turned on with a slider.
The camera requires two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*). Here you can of course resort to rechargeable copies.
Films for the Halina Vision XM
According to the instructions, the Halina Vision XM requires 35mm films. 35mm films are still made by various producers and can also be developed.
Possible films for the Halina Vision XM that you can still buy today are the Kodak Portra 400* for color images and the Kodak T-Max 400* for black and white photography. Of course there are many other manufacturers, such as Lomography, Fujifilm, Rollei, Ilford or Foma.
The color film is developed using the C-41 process. It is common for most photo labs to offer the C-41 process. Numerous drugstores also offer the possibility of developing color films.
The negatives of the Halina Vision XM have a size of 24 mm x 36 mm. The camera has a motorized film transport that advances the film after each shot. The number of photos taken is displayed with a counter on the top of the housing.
At the end of the film roll, the film is also transported back into the cartridge. The film can then be removed and processed. Under no circumstances may the back wall be opened before the film has been rewound. If light accidentally falls on the film material, the film can become unusable or photos that have already been taken can be lost.
The camera is no longer in production. The value of the camera today is determined by its condition and functionality. The camera does not have a high value. You currently pay around 14,58 € for a copy.
