The Halina Vision 700 is a compact camera, ideal for spontaneous shots. It comes from the production of Haking in Hong Kong.

Camera features

The 35mm lens is permanently installed. Although the exact focal length is not given, it is estimated to be between 28mm and 35mm. An autofocus system ensures automatic focusing. A protective flap protects the lens from potential damage and contamination.

The Halina Vision 700 has a built-in light meter. The sensitivity of the film is automatically determined by the film cartridge. Both aperture and exposure time are controlled automatically, eliminating the need for manual adjustment.

The camera is also equipped with a built-in flash. However, there is no specific "red-eye" reduction mode. There is a fill flash mode for that.

A tripod thread and a self-timer are also not available. However, there is an option to attach a wrist strap.

Two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*) power the Halina Vision 700, with rechargeable batteries recommended.

Film options for the Halina Vision 700

According to the user manual, the Halina Vision 700 works with 35mm film. These films are still available from various manufacturers and can be processed.

Recommended films for this camera are e.g. the Kodak Ultramax 400* for color images and the Ilford Delta 100* for monochrome images. Other brands such as Lomography, Fujifilm, Rollei, Adox and Foma also have suitable films on offer.

Most labs offer to develop these films. Prints can usually be made directly from the negatives. It is also possible to digitize the negatives in order to use them as digital files.

The negatives of the Halina Vision 700 have the dimensions 24 mm x 36 mm. A motorized system advances the film after each exposure. A counter on the top provides information about the number of pictures taken.

At the end of the film, it is automatically rewound. Then you should open the camera to take out the film and let it develop. If the film has not yet been rewound, do not open the camera under any circumstances, as light could enter and ruin the film.
