The Halina Vision Mini-MZ presents itself as an affordable compact camera with an automatic function, a product of Haking. It was built in China.
Camera features
This camera is characterized by its zoom lens. The zoom lens goes from 28mm to 52mm. The focus is set automatically.
The Halina Vision Mini-MZ is equipped with an integrated exposure metering system. The automatic detection of the film speed by the film cartridge seamlessly regulates the combination of aperture and exposure time, making manual adjustments unnecessary.
Of course, a built-in flash is integrated, complemented by a special function to reduce the "red-eye effect". The camera also allows flexible use of the self-timer and attachment to a tripod via a corresponding thread.
The camera is powered by CR123A batteries (eBay / Amazon*), although it is particularly advisable to use rechargeable versions.
Film options for the Halina Vision Mini-MZ
According to the user manual, the Halina Vision Mini-MZ accepts common 35mm films. These film variants are available from various suppliers and can be developed without any problems.
Recommended films for this type of camera include Kodak Gold 200* for color snapshots and Ilford Delta 400* for monochrome shots. Other brands such as Lomography, Fujifilm, Rollei, Adox and Foma also offer suitable films.
Most photo developing services support the processing of these films. One can either order prints directly from the negatives or have the negatives digitized for use as digital copies.
The negatives of the Halina Vision Mini-MZ measure 24mm x 36mm. An automatic system takes care of advancing the film after each shot, with a counter on top showing the number of shots already taken.
After the last exposure, the film is automatically rewound into its cartridge. Only after this process should the housing be opened to remove the film for development. To prevent damage from exposure to light, the housing should never be opened before the film has been fully rewound.
Although the camera has already been discontinued, it retains its popularity, particularly based on its condition and operability. Despite a moderate collector's value, it is offered at a price of 18,93 € on the secondary market.
