The Praktica Autoreflex SL is a SLR camera and was sold by Ringfoto in the 1970s. The camera was actually produced in East Germany by the VEB Pentacon. The 35 mm camera was also available on the East German market under the name “Praktica LB”.
The lenses of Praktica Autoreflex SL are interchangeable. She comes with an M42 thread. The M42 thread is standardised and manufacturer-independent, which is why a large number of lenses have been produced. Praktica Autoreflex SL has no autofocus. It is manually focused.
The Praktica Autoreflex SL has a built-in light meter. The aperture and shutter speed can be selected by the photographer as desired. The photo camera comes with a bulb mode. An external strobe or a flash unit can be connected to the Hot Shoe.
Films for the Praktica Autoreflex SL
The Praktica Autoreflex SL takes pictures on 35mm film. These films are still being produced and the development is offered by most photo labs. The Kodak Portra 400* is a possible color film for the Praktica Autoreflex SL. Black and white images are with the Kodak TRI-X 400* possible.
The Praktica Autoreflex SL can be connected to a cable release or tripod by means of the corresponding threads.
The 35mm camera can only be found in used condition. The value of a used Praktica Autoreflex SL depends primarily on if it works correctly and in what condition the copy is.
