The Praktica autoreflex S-TL is a SLR camera. It was distributed by Ringfoto in the 1970s in West Germany. It was built by the VEB Pentacon in East Germany. There it was offered as “Praktica LTL”.
The Praktica autoreflex S-TL lens is interchangeable. For this purpose, an M42 thread was installed in the camera. Praktica autoreflex S-TL does not have an autofocus.
The Praktica autoreflex S-TL has a integrated exposure meter. The aperture and exposure time can be freely adjusted according to the photographers wishes. The camera has a bulb mode. An external flash can be used with the 35mm camera via hot shoe.
Films for the Praktica autoreflex S-TL
The Praktica autoreflex S-TL exposes 35mm film. This type of film is still being produced and can be processed by most photo laboratories without any problems. Two great films for the 35mm camera are the Agfaphoto Vista 200* and the Ilford Delta 100*. Both can be used to take beautiful color or black and white pictures.
The Praktica autoreflex S-TL can be mounted on a tripod. A thread for a cable release is also available. In addition, there is a self-timer. The camera needs one VARTA V 625 battery (eBay / Amazon*).
The camera can today only be found used. The value of a used autoreflex S-TL is primarily determined by the condition and functionality.
