The Polaroid Color i-Type Film Silver Linings Edition is an instant film. It is a special edition of the Polaroid Color i-Type film. The film is manufactured by Polaroid in a factory in the Netherlands. The edition was introduced to the public in mid-2021.
The instant film was developed for the new Polaroid i-Type cameras. The format was developed by The Impossible Project for their first camera. It is similar to the Polaroid 600 format. However, the disposable batteries in the film cassette were not used. This makes the films a little cheaper and you are still doing something good for the environment.
The size of an instant photo is 8.8 x 10.7 cm. This area is filled by the captured photo (7.9 x 7.9 cm). The frame fills the remaining area. For this edition, the normal white has been replaced with a silver finish.
Development of the image begins after the image is ejected. Completed is the development after about 15 minutes.
Film format
You can use the films only in the new Polaroid and Impossible cameras. It is not possible to use them in the old Polaroid 600 or Polaroid SX-70 cameras. Models that can be used include the Polaroid Now+ and the Polaroid OneStep+.
The edition is sold exclusively at the Polaroid online store. One pack contains two film cassettes. One film cassette is enough for eight pictures.
