Hanalogital Confetti

The Hanalogital Confetti represents a color negative effect film and belongs to the German brand Hanalogital. Originally produced as a regular color film by a manufacturer, it was subsequently modified by Hanalogital.

It is important to consider the effect variations when exposing the film, as they can be affected by the exposure settings and the camera chosen. Therefore, each photo has a certain potential for surprise.

The effect of this film is that perforated holes have been inserted all along the length of the film stock. Thus, part of one’s image disappears into black nothingness.

Film Processing

The C-41 process is used with this type of film to process the film stock after exposure. Unlike black-and-white film development, the development process for color film is standardized. The film strips with the recorded images are the result of the processing.

Afterwards, either prints can be made from the negatives or they can be digitized for digital purposes. Most developing laboratories directly offer the production of prints in different sizes as a service.

Negatives in digital form

One method to digitize negatives of Hanalogital Confetti is to use a scanner. There exists a wide range of devices for the digitization of negatives, which differ in terms of functions and quality, offering options to suit every budget. Once the photos are digitized, they can be edited in Photoshop and shared on social networks.

Formats

The Confetti is available exclusively in film format for 35mm cameras. One roll of film allows for 36 shots. A medium format version is not available.

Numerous manufacturers offer suitable cameras for this format. A recommended combination with this photo film would be a Lomography camera, for example. However, exciting images can also be created with an SLR camera.
