The Hanalogital Prism represents a color negative effect film distributed by the German company Hanalogital. Originally produced as ordinary color film by one manufacturer, it is subsequently modified by Hanalogital.
When photographing with this film, the effects are variable and can be affected by exposure settings or the camera used. Therefore, each photograph is unpredictable to some degree.
The effect with this film is created by pre-exposure. A glow of color is superimposed over your own shots.
Development of the film
The C-41 process is used to develop this film stock. Unlike black-and-white film development, this process is standardized for color films. The result of the development is the film strips on which the captured images can be seen.
Afterwards, either photographic prints can be made from the negatives or they can be digitized for digital purposes. Many developing labs directly offer the service of making prints in various sizes.
Digitizing the negatives
To convert the Hanalogital Prism negatives into digital form, you can digitize them with a scanner. A variety of devices for digitizing negatives are available, with offerings varying in features and quality to fit any budget. Once digitized, images can be edited in Photoshop and shared on social media.
Formats
The Prism film is available exclusively for 35mm cameras. One roll of film can be used to take 36 shots. A variant for medium format cameras is not available.
Cameras from various manufacturers are available for this format. A suitable combination for this photo film would be a Lomography camera, for example, but interesting shots can also be achieved with an SLR camera.
