The Dubblefilm Pacific 400 is a color negative film. The film is distributed by Dubblefilm. However, the original material is manufactured as Kodak Ultramax 400 by the legendary photo pioneer.
The film stock has been slightly altered. So the pictures with effect film are characterized by a faded look with a visible grain. The manufacturer speaks of orange shadows and metallic blue tones. Of course, the results depend heavily on the subject, light and processing.
With the Pacific 400, you can capture stories and moments in color images. Specified film speed is ISO 400, which makes it a good choice as an all-rounder.
Developing the film
To get the captured images, the film must first be processed in the C-41 development process. The C-41 process is offered by most photo labs. The C-41 process is standardized. If you have the desire and the right chemistry, you can also develop the color film yourself. Scanning the negatives is of course possible without problems with the appropriate hardware. When scanning in the photo lab, one should specify that the film is not color corrected.
Formats
You can purchase the Pacific 400 only for the 35mm format. One roll of film is enough for 36 exposures. It can be exposed in the vast majority of 35mm cameras. The cartridge has no DX code.
