The Canon EOS Rebel Ti is a 35mm camera from the year 2002 and was produced for the American market. Elsewhere it was available as “Canon EOS 300V”. In the home country of Canon, Japan, it was sold as “EOS Kiss 5”.
The lenses of the Canon EOS Rebel Ti can be changed. Lenses with an EF bayonet can be used. Manual focusing is not necessary with the 35mm camera. The Canon EOS Rebel Ti comes with an autofocus.
The 35mm camera has an exposure meter. It is designed for films in a range from ISO 6 to ISO 6400. The correct sensitivity is determined by the DX code on the film cartridge. All values between ISO 25 and ISO 5000 are possible.
As with most SLR cameras, the exposure is measured through the lens. The aperture and exposure time are set fully automatically from the 35 mm camera in the program automatic. There are also other exposure modes and a completely manual mode.
The 35 mm camera comes with a bulb setting option. The regular shutter speeds range from 1/2000 second to 30 seconds.
A flash is built in for pictures in low light. This has a range of 12 meters at ISO 100 according to the manual. A hot shoe flash can also be used with the EOS Rebel Ti.
The dimensions of the 35mm camera are 13 x 8.8 x 6.4 cm. It weighs 365 grams. The required power for the camera comes from two CR2 batteries (eBay / Amazon*).
Films for the Canon EOS Rebel Ti
The Canon EOS Rebel Ti is designed for 35mm format according to the operating instructions. 35mm films are still produced today. They can be developed in most laboratories. A good choice for the Canon EOS Rebel Ti are the Agfaphoto Vista 200* (color film) and the AgfaPhoto APX 400* (black and white film).
The color film is developed in the C-41 process. This development process is carried out by all photo labs that offer development of 35mm film. Most drugstore chains in Germany offer the development of color films. The film is transported with a built-in motor.
The production of the Canon EOS Rebel Ti was finished and today you can only buy it used. The state of preservation and the functionality decide on the price of the camera.
