Fisheye cameras are equipped with an extreme wide-angle lens that often covers an angle of view of 170 to 180 degrees or even more. The special feature of these cameras lies in their characteristic barrel distortion: straight lines that do not pass exactly through the center of the image are strongly curved, creating a spherical image impression.
These cameras are often used in action sports, for creative landscape photography, or in street photography. They make it possible to capture a huge amount of the surroundings in a single image and offer photographers a playful way to explore unusual perspectives.
