Design of the Edition

Visually, the Graffiti version features a striking combination of bold primary colors and street art elements. The red main body is complemented on the front by a bright yellow decorative ring around the curved front lens, while the spherical viewfinder on top is in a rich blue.

A colorful band of stylized tags, lettering, and sketches runs across the front and back of the body, reminiscent of painted walls in urban spaces.

The package includes a matching red wrist strap and a flexible red lens cap with an embossed logo that protects the glass from scratches in your bag.

The back also continues the motif around the film window, giving the compact 35mm camera a playful appearance that is sure to catch a few glances on street excursions.

Camera Functions

In terms of functionality, this edition matches the other models in the Fisheye No. 2 series.

Behind the distinctive front lens, a fixed lens with a focal length of 10 millimeters does its job, covering a field of view of 170 degrees. The aperture is fixed at f/8, so no manual adjustments to the aperture opening can be made. Since the optical system is designed as a fixed focus, focusing before shooting is also unnecessary.

Thanks to a short minimum focusing distance of just 10 centimeters, even close-ups with fun proportions are possible, while the included and removable viewfinder helps with framing the subject.

There is no electronic light metering in the lightweight body, so exposure is entirely without automatic aids. Photography therefore requires a bit of intuition for the lighting situation or simply the courage to experiment spontaneously.

For shooting, two settings are available: In addition to the fixed shutter speed of about 1/100 second for normal snapshots in daylight, the Bulb setting allows arbitrarily long exposure times.

Using the separate switch for multiple exposures, the same frame can be exposed multiple times without advancing the film.

In low ambient light, the built-in flash provides reliable fill light, powered by a standard AA battery (eBay / Amazon*). An external flash unit can also be used via the accessory shoe on top if needed.

Threads for a tripod or cable release are omitted, which underscores the model's character as an uncomplicated snapshot camera.

Suitable Films for the Fisheye No. 2 Graffiti

The camera exposes classic 35mm film, which is still produced in many varieties and is easy to obtain. Due to the fixed aperture and short shutter speed, a film with a sensitivity of ISO 400 is recommended for most situations.

For color shots with pleasant saturation, the Fujifilm Superia 400* is an excellent all-rounder. If you prefer working in black and white and appreciate classic contrasts, the Kodak T-Max 400* is a proven choice with fine grain and good exposure latitude. In principle, any common film cartridge can be loaded into the camera.

After shooting, color negative films are developed in the standard C-41 process. This service is offered by almost all specialized photo labs and nearly every drugstore, so you can quickly get prints or digital scans. Black and white films undergo classic development in corresponding chemicals, which can also be done easily in your own home darkroom.

Film advance is purely mechanical via a wheel on the back of the camera. After each shot, you turn the film by hand to the next frame before the shutter is ready for the next subject.
