  • Type Fisheye camera
  • Type of Film 35mm
  • Focal Length 10 mm
  • Max Aperture f/8

The Fisheye No. 2 Rodeo Denim is a compact fisheye camera that stands out from other models with its striking exterior. The housing is covered with real denim fabric and decorated with orange stitching, giving it a robust jeans look. The 35mm camera was produced by Lomography and is an evolution of the original Fisheye No. 1.

This edition was introduced in January 2026. The new price was 69 Euros.

The 35mm camera comes with a built-in lens with a fixed focal length. The focal length is unchangeable and is 10 mm. This allows for an extremely wide angle of view of 170 degrees, creating the typical, distorted fisheye effect.

The largest available aperture is f/8. The focus on this model is fixed (fixed focus). It is not possible to adjust the distance to the subject, but thanks to the large depth of field, everything from a very close distance to infinity is sharply depicted.

Unlike other cameras, this one does not have a function for measuring correct exposure. The camera operates in standard mode ("N") with a fixed shutter speed of 1/100 second.

The 35mm camera features a Bulb setting ("B"), which keeps the shutter open for as long as the shutter button is pressed – ideal for long exposures at night. A special feature is the MX switch, which enables multiple exposures. This allows the same image to be exposed any number of times without advancing the film.

Naturally, there is also a built-in flash. If desired, an external flash can be connected to the camera via the standard hot shoe connector. This opens up creative possibilities, such as using colored flashes ("Colorsplash"). A built-in viewfinder is used for composing the shot, optically approximating the fisheye angle of view.

The power required for the camera (flash function) comes from an AA battery (eBay / Amazon*). Without a battery, the camera can still be used purely mechanically, but without the flash.

Films for the Fisheye No. 2 Rodeo Denim

The Fisheye No. 2 Rodeo Denim is designed for 35mm film. This film is still in production and can be processed by almost any lab. Recommended films for this camera are the Kodak Ultramax 400* for fine colors and for B&W shots, the Ilford Delta 400*.

For the typical "Lomo look" with vibrant colors and high contrast, many users also enjoy experimenting with slide films (e.g., Kodak Ektachrome) by cross-processing them in the C-41 process.

The standard C-41 development process is recommended for optimal color film development. Many photo labs and drugstores offer this service.

The exposure area of the Fisheye No. 2 Rodeo Denim is round, with the image appearing barrel-shaped due to lens distortion. The film is advanced manually in the 35mm camera using a small wheel, and rewound using a classic rewind crank.
