The Fisheye One Pearl Blue is a bright blue version of the Fisheye One. This edition of the Fisheye was introduced together with the Fisheye One Red. It is distributed by the company Lomography from Vienna, Austria.
It requires normal 35mm film and captures a 170º angle of view on the film. This effect is also called fisheye. The accessories come in a nice box including the Dacing Trucker logo.
The built-in flash is powered by an AA battery (eBay / Amazon*). This type of battery is very easy to find and are also very inexpensive. One battery lasts for a very long time with normal use. The battery is only needed for the flash, the shutter and the rest of the camera work mechanically. After each picture, the film must therefore be transported to the next free area with a thumbwheel on the back.
Films for the Fisheye One Pearl Blue
According to the instruction manual, the Fisheye One Pearl Blue should be exposed with 35mm film. 35mm film is still on the market and can be developed easily at most photo labs without any difficulties. When it comes to colour photography, many photographers like to choose Kodak Ultramax 400* for beautiful images. However, when it comes to black and white photography, the Ilford HP5* is often the preferred choice.
According to various test reports, they are well suited for everyday photography and deliver solid results. There are many other suitable films that can be used with this camera. Colour film is processed using the C-41 process. This process is offered by almost every photo lab. For example, you can hand in your films for development at many drugstore chains in Germany. The black and white film must be processed in a real black and white developer.
