The BKIFI Rainbow film stock, a color negative film, is distributed by Brooklyn Instant Film Initiative (BKIFI), an American supplier. However, production is done by a different company.
Color images can capture stories and moments with BKIFI Rainbow film. The specified film speed of ISO 400 is given in the datasheet. It is suitable for most situations and allows for perfect snapshots.
The photo film is characterized by its pre-exposure as an effect film. In this case, a colorful gradient in the colors of the rainbow extends over the photos.
Development of the film
After the film is full, development takes place in the C-41 process. In Germany, most laboratories offer development in C-41 chemistry, since the C-41 color negative process is standardized. As a result of the development, the captured images are obtained in the form of film strips.
Digitization of the analog film strips with a scanner to obtain the images in digital form. There are several devices available to digitize negatives, with different features and quality options for every budget.
Formats
The BKIFI Rainbow Film format is designed exclusively for 35mm cameras and allows for 36 exposures per roll of film. There are a variety of cameras suitable for this format produced by well-known manufacturers such as Porst, Pentax and Minolta.
Storage
Proper handling of storage of analog film stock can be critical to the quality of subsequent photographs. Proper storage of unexposed film stock in a cool, dry place can help prevent spoilage or deterioration. To avoid prolonged storage, it is recommended that exposed film be developed promptly. It is also important to keep film stock away from light and heat to prevent possible damage.
