BKIFI Red Hearts Film

Under the “BKIFI” brand, the BKIFI Red Hearts film is offered commercially as color negative film by “Brooklyn Instant Film Initiative,” a U.S. supplier, and produced by another company. In addition to BKIFI, Kono, Revolog and Dubblefilm also offer such films.

The BKIFI Red Hearts film makes it possible to turn stories and moments into color images, as it has a film speed of ISO 400, as stated in the data sheet. This setting is perfect for snapshots in most situations.

The photo film stands out for its peculiarity as an effect film, since it is pre-exposed. In this case, many small red hearts appear on the finished images.

Development of the film

The film must be developed after it is full. For this purpose, it is processed in the C-41 process, which is offered in most laboratories in Germany. The film is developed according to the standardized C-41 color negative process. As a result, the captured images are obtained in the form of film strips.

There is an option to digitize analog film strips with a scanner to obtain the images in digital form. There are various devices to choose from to digitize negatives, varying in features and quality to suit any budget. The digitized photos can be shared either physically or through social networks such as Facebook, Instagram and others.

Formats

BKIFI Red Hearts film is available exclusively for 35mm cameras. It can take 36 shots on a roll of film. There are many cameras suitable for 35mm format produced by well-known manufacturers such as Porst, Pentax and Minolta.

Storage

For long-term storage of analog film stock, certain conditions should be met. A dry and cool place is of particular importance here to preserve the quality of the material.
