Retrospect sells items for retro lovers. These include music cassettes, vinyls, Nintendo Gameboys, VHS cassettes with a suitable player, but also cameras. The focus is particularly on instant cameras.
Retrospekt, based in Wisconsin, offers not only the modern Polaroid and Fujifilm cameras, but also the old original Polaroid cameras. The cameras will be overhauled and made fit for taking pictures again. In addition to the various original Polaroid cameras, special editions are also offered based on these. These have the same range of functions, but are optically adapted to different topics. For example, there is a Barbie edition, an edition for the drinks manufacturer Pepsi and a variant in honor of Frida Kahlo.
Restrospekt was founded under this name in 2015 and has worked with The Impossible Project, among others. They produced films for the old cameras again and were therefore naturally interested in working cameras. Today the company has 30 employees. Today there is still a business relationship with Polaroid, the successor to The Impossible Project.
