The Polaroid 600 Peanuts Charlie Brown & Snoopy presents itself as an instant camera for the type 600 format, which was introduced by Retrospekt in February 2024. A camera bag and a 35mm disposable camera with a matching design were also introduced.
The edition of the camera is based on the original Polaroid One Step Flash, with the models undergoing an overhaul and functional test. They were then given a new external appearance.
Design of the camera
The design of the Polaroid 600 Peanuts instant camera is kept in a yellow, white and black colour scheme and features a Snoopy motif. The word “Peanuts” is printed above the film ejector. Next to the lens is an illustration of Charlie Brown & Snoopy. The free area next to the flash is labelled with the Polaroid logo and simple drawings of the sun and clouds.
Features of the camera
The camera is equipped with a fixed lens and has no zoom function. The focal length cannot be changed and there is no way to adjust the focus. Exposure settings are taken from the built-in light meter, with slight adjustments possible using the light/dark slider on the front.
These limited setting options ensure user-friendly handling so that photos can be taken with the camera without any problems even after a short introduction.
The built-in flash, which triggers automatically, provides sufficient light for taking pictures. The camera and flash are powered by a battery in the film cassette, which is replaced every time the film is changed. Additional batteries are not required for photography.
Films for the Polaroid 600 Peanuts Charlie Brown & Snoopy
Films are not included with the instant camera and must be purchased separately.
The matching films for the Polaroid 600 Peanuts Charlie Brown & Snoopy are still available and offer a choice, including black and white and colour films. The film for colour pictures is called Polaroid Color Film for 600*. For monochrome pictures with the instant camera, the Polaroid B&W Film for 600* is required.
A film cassette contains eight images and a new film must be inserted after these images have been used up. No film material is supplied. The development time varies between 5 and 15 minutes depending on the film.
