Parks Project is a non-profit project in the USA. Its goal is to protect and preserve the national parks of the USA. The camera was sold for 169 US dollars. 5 percent of it went to the non-profit project.

The design of the camera is characterized by the colors white and red. The Parks Project and Polaroid logos can be found on the housing. Next to the lens is the imprint “National Parks are for lovers.” in black letters and a red heart.

The Polaroid 600 National Parks are for Lovers impresses with its ease of use. Most of the setting options common to other types of cameras have been omitted. Because of this easy entry threshold, the camera can be used by anyone and is suitable for many uses. Good uses for the camera include wedding parties and other celebrations. The camera also cuts an excellent figure when traveling.

Changes to the exposure settings are not possible. Arbitrary selection or free choice of shutter speed and aperture is not possible. Changing the lens is not possible. It has a fixed focal length. The model does not have a zoom function. Instead of pressing the zoom button, you have to approach the object with a few steps until it fills the format. To get razor-sharp pictures, it is recommended to keep a minimum distance of 120 cm to the subject.

Of course, you’ll also find a built-in flash on this model. When taking pictures, the flash fires automatically. Thanks to the flash, fairly clear instant pictures are possible even in unfavorable lighting conditions.

Does the camera offer a self-timer function? No, there is no such function.

Films for the Polaroid 600 National Parks are for Lovers

Of course, films are needed for the Polaroid camera. As a result of various events, the American company Polaroid has ceased film production. A Dutch company again produces suitable films for the instant format.

There is a suitable color film and a black and white film for the camera. Instant photos in color are possible with the Polaroid Color Film for 600*. For creating black and white images, you can reach for the Polaroid B&W Film for 600*. They are both very fun to use.

One pack is enough for eight pictures. Under no circumstances should the photosensitive material come in contact with light. The unexposed film material should be stored in a cool and dry place.

As prescribed in the standard, an image is 10.8 x 8.8 cm in size. In this case, the captured image occupies an area of 7.7 by 7.7 cm. The rest is filled by a white frame. But there are also Polaroid films with colorful frames.

Fujifilm films cannot be used with this model.

Batteries

What kind of batteries do you need for the instant camera? The camera is powered by a battery inside the film cassette. The disposable battery contains the necessary energy for the camera technology with flash. Therefore, the replacement of the film also serves as a change of the energy source. It is the only energy source that the camera requires.

After the film is empty, the film cassette should not be disposed of in the household waste. It is best to take the plastic cassette or just the battery to a suitable local drop-off location.
