Polaroid Image/Spectra Cameras

In the mid-1980s, Polaroid introduced a new film format. The format was called Spectra in North America, and Image in the rest of the world. The way it works, such as the chemistry for development being in the edge of the film or generally the frame around the captured image, is very similar to the 600 and SX-70 formats. However, the size was changed to 10.1 by 10.3 cm (actual image area: 9.1 x 7.2 cm). One expected from it, among other things, a better image quality from it. However, many different models were not produced for this film format.

After the end of production of the Spectra-/1200/Image films, there are now instant films for the old cameras again. Current ones are the Polaroid Originals Color Film for Image & Spectra* for color images and the Polaroid Originals B&W Film for Image & Spectra* for black and white images.
