The Polaroid Image Elite Pro is an instant camera. It is the international version of the Polaroid Spectra Pro.
The Polaroid Image Elite Pro comes with a 125 mm lens. Focusing is done automatically with the help of ultrasound. However, the autofocus can also be deactivated if desired. The exposure time can be selected automatically by the camera, but also manually.
There is an LCD display on the back. This shows the remaining pictures and the currently selected settings. There is the familiar light/dark control and a mode for backlit shots. Multiple exposures and time-lapse photography are possible with the instant camera.
The Polaroid Image Elite Pro also has a self-timer. The flash is permanently installed in the flip-open camera and ensures good pictures in low light conditions.
Films and batteries
The Polaroid Image Elite Pro is designed for the Image/Spectra film format. Polaroid has stopped production for this film format, as well as other formats. In the meantime, however, films for the old cameras are being produced again by the company “Impossible”. The two instant films, Polaroid Originals Color Film for Image & Spectra* and Polaroid Originals B&W Film for Image & Spectra*, can be used in the Elite Pro.
There are eight shots in a pack. The battery for the camera and flash is located in the film cassette. They are replaced each time the film is changed. An additional battery is not needed for taking pictures with the instant camera.
The pictures have a size of 10.1 by 10.3 cm. The actual image area takes up an area of 9.1 x 7.2 cm. The rest of the area is filled by the (white) frame. The white frames can be painted with a matching pen. Stickers or washi tape can also be used to give the pictures another individual touch.
