The Polaroid Spectra 1200FF is an instant camera from Polaroid. The Spectra camera differs in appearance but clearly from the other models for this film format.
The instant camera is made of plastic and folds out to the front. The folding design is somewhat reminiscent of the Polaroid SX-70 cameras.
The range of functions is quite basic. The camera automatically adjusts the exposure. The flash is also fired automatically. The flash cannot be turned off. A switch on the camera’s lens lets you switch between near (0.6 meters to 1.2 meters) and far (1.2 meters to infinity). There is no light/dark control and no tripod thread. The frame counter does not count down, but up on this model.
Films and batteries
The Polaroid Spectra 1200FF is actually designed for Polaroid’s Spectra/1200 films. However, these are no longer produced for several years. In the meantime, however, there are fresh supplies from the company “Impossible”.
Currently, there are the Polaroid Originals Color Film for Image & Spectra* for color pictures and the Polaroid Originals B&W Film for Image & Spectra* for black and white pictures. One pack lasts for eight shots and also includes a fresh battery for the camera.
