Development

The Reflx Lab 400 is developed using the C-41 process, the standard process for color negative films. It can therefore be developed in most photo labs or at home with appropriate chemicals. This is possible by removing the Remjet coating. Otherwise the film would have to be processed using the ECN-2 process.

After development, the negatives can be scanned or enlarged as usual to make prints.

Storage of the film material

As with all films, the Reflx Lab 400 should be stored in a cool, dry place to maintain the quality of the film material. Ideally, it should be kept in the refrigerator before use and only taken out shortly before inserting it into the camera.

Background to the brand

Reflx Lab was founded in 2021 by two photographers in Shenzhen, China. Zaishu, a former Zhiyun engineer, and Yongxiang, an e-commerce expert, have set themselves the goal of offering high-quality films and camera accessories. The company buys film material from renowned manufacturers, such as Kodak in this case, and packages it for the 35mm range.
