The Polaroid x Hello Kitty 600 is a limited edition instant camera. It was designed for the 45th anniversary of Hello Kitty.
The Special Edition was introduced in 2019 as the result of a collaboration between Polaroid Originals, Sanrio and Retrospekt. Sanrio is the Japanese company behind the world’s most famous cat. Retrospekt was responsible for the preparation of the cameras. Old parts of Polaroid cameras were used for the edition. Its functions are equivalent to Polaroid One Step Flash.
The instant camera comes with a fixed lens. 116 mm (?) is the focal length of the lens. The maximum aperture of the camera is f/11 (?). The Polaroid x Hello Kitty 600 does not have an autofocus. The distance is fixed.
The camera has a built-in meter for measuring the correct exposure with automatic exposure control. Therefore, the photographer cannot choose the exposure time and aperture himself. There is a built-in flash for taking pictures when there is little light available, this ensures clear pictures.
The Polaroid instant camera only works with the battery in the film pack, which is also called a film cassette. Each time a new film is inserted into the camera, a new battery is also inserted. However, if an expired film is used, the battery in the cassette may discharge, causing the camera to stop working. In such cases, the user can either buy a new film cassette or transfer the unexposed photos to a film cassette with a fully charged battery in a dark environment.
