The Polaroid Originals Color i-Type film Stranger Things Edition is an instant film. It is a variant of the Polaroid Originals Color i-Type Film. The film is produced by Polaroid Originals in the Netherlands.

This limited edition was introduced in 2019.

The Polaroid Originals Color i-Type Film Stranger Things Edition is suitable for all cameras of the i-Type format. The dimensions of an instant picture are 8.8 x 10.7 cm. This area is filled by the photo taken (7.9 x 7.9 cm). The frame fills the remaining area. The frames are printed with different designs from the “Stranger Things” series.

Stranger Things is a science fiction mystery series from the USA. It first appeared in 2016 on the streaming service Netflix. The idea of the series comes from the brothers Ross and Matt Duffer. In 2019 the third season of the series, which was set in the eighties, was released.

After taking a picture, the image is thrown out of the camera and on the bare surface the captured image slowly appears. During the development one can only wait. The development time is between ten and fifteen minutes.

Film format

The film can be used in all i-Type cameras. This includes the Polaroid Originals OneStep 2, a limited version of which is also available in the Stranger Things design.

The unexposed instant images are stored in a special film cassette. One pack of the film contains 8 exposures. Preferably the film should be stored in a cool and dry place.

In the old Polaroid cameras, like the Polaroid 636 or the Polaroid 1000, this film cannot be used. The reason for this is that there is no battery in the film cassette. However, this is required by the old instant cameras of the American company. The right choice for the 600 cameras is the Polaroid Color Film for 600*.
