The Polaroid Color i-Type Film Spectrum Edition is an instant film. It is a special version of the Polaroid Color i-Type film. The new Polaroid from the Netherlands is responsible for the production. The edition was unveiled in February 2021 and will only be sold through the official website.
The instant film is designed for the i-Type format. The format was developed by The Impossible Project at the time and was first really used on the Instant Lab. It is based on the Type 600 format of “Original Polaroid”.
An instant picture with the film has a size of 8.8 x 10.7 cm. The actual captured image is square and surrounded by a frame. In this edition, the images are surrounded by a colorful frame.
Immediately after the image leaves the camera, the development process begins. The development time for one image is about 15 minutes.
Film format
The film can be used in all modern instant cameras under the Polaroid brand. These would include the Polaroid Now, Lab, and the new OneStep cameras. It is not possible to use it in the old instant cameras. Although the size of the pictures is identical, there is no longer a battery in the film cassette. This battery is necessary for the operation of the camera.
There is one film cassette in a package. In the holder made of plastic are eight unexposed pictures. The package should be stored in a cool and dry place.
