The Lomo’Instant Montenegro is an edition of the Lomo’Instant. It was released in August 2015 by Lomography.
The design of the camera body is in gray and black. In terms of features, the Lomo’Instant Montenegro does not differ from the other editions of the instant camera.
The camera is named after the republic in southeastern Europe. Montenegro borders the Mediterranean Sea and shares a border with Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Croatia and Albania.
Films for the Lomo’Instant Montenegro
There are no films included with the instant camera. The camera is designed for the Instax Mini format. These films are produced by the Japanese company Fujifilm. For color photos, there is the Instax Mini Film*. In addition, for the Lomo’Instant Montenegro there is a black and white film with the Instax Mini Monochrome*.
The images have a size of a credit card and are surrounded by a white frame. In addition, there are some edition of the color film with differently designed frames. The white frame can be written on with a marker or decorated with stickers without any problems.
There are ten pictures in a pack or a film cassette of the Fujifilm Instax Mini film. After that, the film has to be changed. Unlike the old Polaroid film cassettes, there is no battery installed. The Lomography instant camera is powered by four AAA batteries (eBay / Amazon*).
The development time for an Instax Mini image takes only a few minutes. Development begins immediately after the image comes out of the camera. Before this step, the film material is very sensitive to light and should not come into contact with light. During development, the image should be left alone. Shaking it does not speed up the development. On the contrary, Fujifilm advises against it.
