The Lomo’Instant Automat Glass Kilimanjaro is an instant camera. The instant camera was introduced to the public in November 2017. It is a version of the Lomo’Instant Automat Glass instant camera from Lomography.
The design of the camera is white and dark blue. This edition is named “Kilimanjaro.” Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain massif in Africa with a height of 5895 meters. Since 1987, the area in northeastern Tanzania has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The package includes the camera, a macro attachment, a lens cap with built-in remote shutter release, a splitter, color gel filters, instructions, magnetic stickers, adhesive dots, photo frame and photo clips.
Films
The Lomo’Instant Automat Glass Kilimanjaro is designed for the “Instax Mini” instant film format. The films are made by Fujifilm in Japan and are easy to get.
It is the smallest instant format and half the size of the Instax Wide format. The size of an image is 8.6 x 5.4 cm. The actual picture takes up an area of 6.2 x 4.6 cm. An EC card is about the same size as an Instax Mini picture.
After the exposure, the picture comes out of the Lomo’Instant Automat Glass Kilimanjaro. Within a few minutes, the image is ready to be developed.
The image quality of the color films (Instax Mini Film*) is impressive. The frame around the pictures can be labeled as desired. One of the instant film’s plastic film cassette contains film stock for ten pictures.
The Instax Mini Monochrome* is a black and white film for the Instax Mini format. There are some special edition (eBay / Amazon*) of the color film with printed frames. The Instax Mini format is good for weddings, parties and scrapbooking. No films are included in the package.
