The Kentmere 100 is a black and white film. Kentmere itself describes it as a medium-sensitivity film for various indoor and outdoor applications in good lighting conditions.
With its stated sensitivity of ISO 100, there should already be enough light.
You can expose it between ISO 50 and ISO 200, but according to Kentmere, you get the optimum at ISO 100. If you need a higher sensitivity, the Kentmere 400 would be an option.
The 100 film is a classic B&W film and is well suited for beginners. Kentmere advertises the panchromatic black and white film as having a fine grain and good sharpness.
The Kentmere 100 is developed in a suitable black and white developer, development in C-41 is not possible. It is not necessary to use an Ilford developer.
The film should be stored at 10-20 degrees in a cold dry place. If the film is stored under these conditions, it will usually produce solid results even after the expiration date has passed.
The film is manufactured by Harman Technology Limited, which also produces Ilford films. However, the Kentmere films are significantly less expensive than the regular Ilford films. The Kentmere 100 is available as 35mm film in regular cartridges and by the meter.
A medium format variant of the film has been available since 2022, some time after the introduction of 35mm film. No variant of the film for large format cameras.

Sample photos
The sample photos were taken with a Minolta Weathermatic 35 DL. The film rolls were developed in Rodinal / R09 One Shot for 9 minutes. At 20 degrees and with a mixing ratio of 1+25. The Canoscan 9000F flatbed scanner was used to digitize the negatives.
