The Impossible Color Film for Image & Spectra is an instant film. It was presented by The Impossible Project in the fall of 2013.

The instant film is the successor of the PZ 680 Color Protection. It is currently the newest film from Impossible for the Polaroid Image & Spectra cameras. In addition to the interior of the film, the design of the packaging has also been changed and the naming has been simplified.

An instant picture with the Impossible Color Film for Image & Spectra has a size of 10.2 by 10.3 cm. The actual color image is 9 x 7.3 cm, with the white frame taking up the rest.

The Impossible Color Film for Image & Spectra is, as the name suggests, designed for Polaroid’s Image and Spectra instant cameras. A list of supported models can be found here.

One pack of the film contains 8 images. You should remember this when you look at your frame counter on the camera. You have to change the film already at “2” because of the lower number of pictures.

When the camera ejects the image, you should protect it from light. The development time is given as about 30 minutes at 21 degrees Celsius.

The unexposed color film should be used within 12 months from the date of production, which can be found on the package. Impossible advises to store the Impossible Color Film for Image & Spectra in the refrigerator for that long.
