The Impossible B&W Film for Image/Spectra is an instant film. It is the latest generation, as of April 2017, of black and white films for the Image or Spectra film format from Polaroid. Like the color film, the instant film is manufactured by Impossible in the Netherlands.

The black and white film can be used in the Polaroid cameras for the Image and Spectra format. Both formats are identical, but have different names depending on the region. For example, the cameras were called Spectra in North America and Polaroid Image in the rest of the world.

The dimensions of an image are 10.2 by 10.3 cm. The dimensions of the captured image are 9 x 7.3 cm. The captured image is surrounded by a white frame. ISO 600 is the film speed of the instant film.

The development time according to the manufacturer is five to ten minutes per image. For best results, photographs should be taken at an ambient temperature of 14-28 degrees. Heat and cold can affect the images.

The images are stored in the so-called film cassette. The film cassette is placed in the camera.
In addition to the instant images, there is a battery in the cassette. It contains the power for the camera and the flash.

Eight shots can be taken with one pack of Impossible B&W Film for Image/Spectra. The unopened film should be stored at 5-10 degrees.
