Image/Spectra

The Spectra system was introduced by Polaroid in the early 1980s.
In markets outside North America, the film format was marketed under the name “1200” or “Image”.

After Polaroid ceased film production, there was no more film for the cameras for some time.
In the meantime, Impossible is again producing films for the old Spectra cameras.
Unlike most other film cameras, the batteries for the flash and the camera are not in the camera, but are housed in the film pack.

The most current color or black and white film from Impossible is the Polaroid Originals Color Film for Image & Spectra* or the Polaroid Originals B&W Film for Image & Spectra*.

The following cameras require this film format:

  • Polaroid Spectra
  • Polaroid Spectra 2
  • Polaroid Spectra 1200i
  • Polaroid Spectra 1200si
  • Polaroid Spectra 1200FF
  • Polaroid Spectra Onyx
  • Polaroid Spectra Pro
  • Polaroid Image
  • Polaroid Image 2
  • Polaroid Image Elite Pro

  • Spectra is an instant film system from Polaroid.
