The Impossible B&W Film for 600 Round Frame Edition is an instant film. In this edition, the frames are not square, but round. It is otherwise, in terms of normal parameters, identical to the normal black and white film.
The black and white film is designed for the Polaroid 600 cameras. In the 80s, the instant format was presented by Polaroid. The film format is the successor of the SX-70 format. Polaroid no longer makes 600 film. An Impossible picture is 8.8 x 10.7 cm. The dimensions of the captured image are 7.9 x 7.9 cm. The instant film has a sensitivity of ISO 600.
The Impossible B&W Film for 600 Round Frame Edition can be used in all Polaroid type 600 cameras. The instant film can also be used with the Impossible Instant Lab and Impossible I-Type cameras. It can also be used with the Polaroid SX-70. This requires an ND filter to lower the film speed.
The development time for one image is between five and ten minutes. The best results are obtained at an ambient temperature of 14-28 degrees. The images can be affected by heat and cold.
The individual images are stored in a special cassette. The cassette with the images goes into the camera. If the image counter shows two, the cassette must be replaced. In addition to the images, the cassette also contains a battery. It supplies power to the camera and the flash.
One box of instant film is enough for eight pictures. The unopened film should be stored at a temperature between five and ten degrees.
Alternative
Currently, a comparable film is no longer offered by The Impossible Project. The current black and white film for the 600 instant cameras is the Polaroid B&W Film for 600*.
