The Fujifilm Neopan 100 Acros is a black and white film. It is part of Fuji’s Neopan family.
Fujifilm positions Neopan 100 Acros as an exceptionally fine-grained black-and-white film that is perfect for a variety of shooting situations. Its fine-grained quality allows photographers to capture detailed images with exquisite sharpness and depth. Whether used for portraits, landscape, street or documentary photography, Neopan 100 Acros proves to be a versatile companion that offers an impressive range of gray tones.
A special feature of this film is its improved black level behavior. This makes it ideally suited for low-light shooting with longer exposure times. This feature makes Neopan 100 Acros an excellent choice for night photography or low contrast scenes. With a sensitivity of ISO 100, it ensures a high level of sharpness and detail while maintaining low grain.
The Neopan 100 Acros is available as 35mm film in cartridges and as roll film (120) for medium format cameras, further emphasizing its versatility. Photographers can have the film processed in the convenience of their own lab or at a photo lab they trust. This involves developing it in a suitable black-and-white developer to bring out its optimum properties.
Discontinuation and Alternative
It was saddening news for many photographers and film photography enthusiasts when it was announced in 2018 that production of the Neopan 100 Acros would be discontinued.
In the meantime, there is a successor, the Neopan 100 Acros II.
