The Canon EOS Elan 7 NE is an SLR camera. The 35mm camera is a product of Canon and was introduced in 2004. It is the successor of the Canon EOS Elan 7E. The 35mm photo camera was also sold under the names “Canon EOS 33V” and “EOS 7S”.
The lens of the Canon EOS Elan 7 NE is interchangeable. Therefore an EF bayonet was built into the camera. Manual focusing is not necessary with the 35mm camera. The Canon EOS Elan 7 NE comes with an autofocus, this can be controlled by the eye if desired. A model without this function is the “Elan 7 NE.
The Canon EOS Elan 7 NE has a built-in light meter. It can be used with films from ISO 6 to ISO 6400. The camera reads the ISO value via the DX code on the cartridge. With the 35 mm camera, the exposure is measured through the lens (TTL). The correct exposure is set automatically by the camera, but can also be set manually.
A bulb mode is available for long exposures. For taking pictures in low light conditions, there is a built-in flash, which ensures clear pictures. With ISO 100 films it reaches up to 13 meters. An external flash can be connected to the Hot Shoe. The Canon EOS Elan 7 NE has a thread for a tripod and self-timer.
The camera weighs 580 grams according to the operating instructions and measures 14.6 x 10.3 x 6.9 cm. The camera needs two CR2 batteries (eBay / Amazon*).
