Canon EOS 33V

The Canon EOS 33V is a 35mm camera. It belongs to the group of SLR cameras and was introduced in 2004. It is the successor of the Canon EOS 33. 35mm camera was also available on the market under the name “Canon EOS Elan 7 N“.

The lenses of the Canon EOS 33V are interchangeable. Lenses with an EF bayonet can be used. The 35mm camera is equipped with an autofocus. Compared to the EOS 30V this model does not have the eye-controlled autofocus.

The Canon EOS 33V is equipped with a built-in light meter. The light meter is designed for films with a sensitivity of ISO 6 to ISO 6400. The film speed is determined by the DX code.

With the 35 mm camera, the exposure is measured through the lens (TTL). The camera has an automatic exposure control. The shutter speed and aperture can also be selected by the photographer.

The camera comes with a bulb mode. The built-in flash can be used in low light conditions. The power ranges up to 13 meters at ISO 100. An external flash can be used with the 35 mm camera by hot shoe. The Canon EOS 33V has a thread for a tripod and a self-timer.

Films for the Canon EOS 33V

The Canon EOS 33V uses 35mm film. For this film format there is still a good selection of material for color and black and white images. A recommendation for color photos is Agfaphoto Vista 400* and for b/w photos Kodak T-Max 400*.

The color film is designed for development in the C-41 process. This development process is offered by most laboratories.

The negatives of the Canon EOS 33V have a size of 24 mm x 36 mm. The film transport is automatic. After each release, the camera rewinds to the next frame. It achieves up to four frames per second.
