The Polaroid One Flower is characterized by its ease of use. The most common configuration options that you are used to on other types of cameras are not available on this model. Because of this simple barrier to entry, the camera can be operated by any user and is therefore suitable for many occasions. For example, weddings or parties are good areas of use for the camera. The lens is fixed and cannot be replaced. A zoom function is not available on this device. The minimum focusing distance is 90 cm. This distance must be maintained in order to get the clearest possible pictures.
The camera is equipped with an integrated flash. The flash is automatically activated when taking pictures. Due to the small aperture, using the flash is especially useful indoors. There is a special mode to prevent red-eye in the pictures, which can be activated with a button on the back of the device.
Also on the back is the self-timer button. The built-in display shows the number of remaining instant pictures.
Films for the Polaroid One Flower
Of course, instant films are also needed for the photo camera. The manufacturer of the camera, the company Polaroid from the USA, has stopped the production of film material. But there is a new edition of the same name from a new company.
On the Internet you can buy a color film and a black-and-white film. The Polaroid Color Film for 600* is the film for color pictures. Simple black and white images are easily possible with Polaroid B&W Film for 600*. Both films can be used well.
Eight pictures can be taken with the contents of one pack. The light-sensitive material must not come into contact with light under any circumstances. Optimal storage conditions are found in a dry and dark place.
Since the development of the film format, one image measures 10.8 x 8.8 cm. An area of 7.7 x 7.7 cm is provided for the actual image. The remaining area is filled by the familiar frame around the Polaroid picture. Polaroid films with colored frames are also on offer.
You cannot use films from Fujifilm with the Polaroid One Flower.
Batteries
What kind of batteries do you need for the Polaroid instant camera? The camera's power source is a battery located inside the film cassette. The disposable battery contains the necessary power for the camera technology, which includes the built-in flash. So with each film change, the battery is also changed. An additional separate battery for the instant camera is not required.
When the film is finished, care should be taken to simply throw the film cassette with the battery into the household trash. Due to the environmental impact, the battery should be recycled properly.
Alternative Cameras
If you can not find the camera, you can resort to alternatives. The first place to start here is the Polaroid One. It offers the same range of functions and requires the same films.
However, one may want to try something new. Two particular models that are not from Polaroid are the LomoInstant Square* and Instax Mini 40*. The films for these models can be conveniently purchased online.
