Nikon F70 - front

Nikon F Series

Nikon F70

The Nikon F70 is an SLR camera for 35mm film made by the Japanese company Nikon. It was built in the 1990s. In the USA, the F70 was sold as the Nikon N70.

The Nikon F70 has autofocus with two modes, single and continuous autofocus. Manual focus by hand is of course also possible. Nikon's F bayonet is used for the interchangeable lenses.

When it comes to exposure, the photographer can choose between program, aperture and shutter priority, manual mode or one of the eight scene modes. Exposure times go from 14000 s to 30 s in thirds and a Bulb mode, and the aperture depends on the lens used.

It is possible to use films with ISO 6 to ISO 6400, but DX-encoded films are only recognized in a range from ISO 25 to ISO 5000. The film is automatically transported further.

A flash can be connected to the F70 via hot shoe, but the SLR also has a built-in flash, and a tripod to the thread on the bottom of the camera.

35mm film is required for shooting with the SLR. You can you black and white films and color films for it. Power comes from two CR123A batteries (eBay / Amazon*).
