The Nikkormat FS is a single lens reflex camera. It was introduced in 1965. The model is very similar to the Nikkormat FT. But the FS lacks the built-in light meter. Furthermore this model has no mirror lock-up.
The lens of the Nikkormat FS is interchangeable. The camera can be used with Nikon F lens mount lenses. This lens mount was introduced in the late 1950s. Over the years, the lens mount has been refined and improved by Nikon.
