The Polaroid Image Softtone Edge Cut is an instant film. The film is suitable for Image/Spectra cameras from Polaroid. It comes from the last production run of the Polaroid factory in the Netherlands. Like the Polaroid 600 Edge Cut, the material comes from the edge areas of the light sensitive material.
Normally, these areas were not used because small flaws can appear on the finished image. The flaws appear in the form of “scratches” and yellow or red lines running through the image. Double exposures are possible with the film. Development time at 21 degrees is approximately 3 minutes.
It was sold by Impossible. Of course, it is no longer manufactured. One pack, designed by Paul Giambarba, contains 10 images.
As an alternative for Image/Spectra there is the Polaroid Originals Color Film for Image & Spectra*.
