Topcon Wink Mirror S

The Topcon Wink Mirror S is a SLR camera, developed by Tōkyō Kōgaku and introduced in the 60s. The model was also offered under the name “Porst Reflex S” in West Germany.

The lenses of the Topcon Wink Mirror S can be changed. This is made possible by the UV bayonet. In many cases the camera comes with the UV Topcor 53mm f/2. The lens is focused manually. The camera does not have an autofocus system.

For photography the Topcon Wink Mirror S has an exposure meter. It can be used for films with a sensitivity of ISO 10 to ISO 400. The aperture and exposure time can be freely adjusted according to the photographer’s wishes. But there is also an automatic aperture control.

The Topcon Wink Mirror S has a bulb mode built-in. The shutter can remain open for a variable time. An external flash unit can be connected to the PC flash socket. The Topcon Wink Mirror S has a thread for a tripod and cable release. It also has a self-timer.

At a weight of 800 grams with the lens the size of the Topcon Wink Mirror S is 13,5 x 9,2 x 8,4 cm. The 35mm camera does not need electricity to take pictures.

Films for the Topcon Wink Mirror S

The camera needs 35mm films. This type of film is still being produced and can be processed by most photo laboratories without any problems. A good film choice for this model are the Kodak Gold 200* (color film) and the Ilford Delta 400* (black and white film).
