The Revolog Paper is a black and white film. It is sold by Revolog. However, the company is not responsible for the production. It is not known which manufacturer produces the film material. The black-and-white film was introduced in December 2021.

The Revolog Paper is designed for black-and-white photography. It is panchromatically sensitized. According to the manufacturer, the film’s sensitivity is ISO 400, an ISO value that allows the film to be used well in many situations and is easily detected by many light meters.

The ISO value is a standardized value that describes the sensitivity of the film material. The more the ISO value decreases, the more light is needed for a correctly exposed shot.

The special feature of the film is that the images with the Revolog Paper have a paper-like structure. This effect occurs more when the film is underexposed.

Development of the film

The development of the paper must take place in black and white photochemistry. The development can take place in a photo lab. You have more control over the result if you develop the film yourself. The result can be very much influenced by the choice of developer.

Revolog does not give any information about the development times of the Paper Film.

Formats

Paper availability is limited to 35mm format. One roll of film will fit 36 images. A DX standard encoding is missing on the film cartridge. The lack of a DX code on the cartridge may result in limited usability with modern 35mm cameras that rely on this encoding. Minolta, Zorki, and Fujifilm are among the manufacturers that offer cameras for the 35mm format.

The film’s packaging was designed by graphic designer Nadine Werjant.

Storage

The quality of the film stock can be protected by optimal storage conditions to avoid possible losses. A place with humidity or direct sunlight is not ideal for storage, while cool and dry conditions are best for long-term storage. To ensure the highest possible quality of the film, exposed films should not be stored for too long and should be developed promptly.
