The Polaroid Now+ is an instant camera with modern features. It was introduced in summer 2021 by the Polaroid successor (formerly known as The Impossible Project). It is a slightly expanded version of the Polaroid Now. In 2023, the Polaroid Now+ Gen 2, a revised version with a USB-C port, was presented.
Design
The Now+ follows the iconic Polaroid design with rounded corners. The form factor is reminiscent of the old Polaroid Onestep models. It was sold in black, blue-grey and white.
Functions
The Now+ offers a variety of functions for creative photography. In addition to the program automatic for simple snapshots, the manual mode allows you to individually adjust the aperture and shutter speed. The double exposure function allows two images to be overlaid for artistic effects. Autofocus ensures sharp images, while exposure compensation allows you to fine-tune brightness.
The camera has an integrated flash, a self-timer and a connection for a tripod. There are also lens filters for the instant camera.
Films for the instant camera
The Now+ is compatible with Polaroid i-Type and 600 films. I-Type films are specially developed for modern Polaroid cameras and offer high image quality with vibrant colors and a characteristic retro look. 600 films are the classic Polaroid films and offer a unique vintage charm.
The current color film for the camera is Polaroid Color Film for i-Type*. For black and white photos there is the Polaroid B&W Film for i-Type*. One pack contains a film cassette for eight pictures.
App functionality
The Now+ can be connected to the Polaroid app via Bluetooth. The app significantly expands the creative possibilities of the camera. It allows you to control the camera remotely, create double exposures and add creative effects such as light painting. The shutter speed and aperture can also be set very precisely. The app is available for Android and iOS.
