Polaroid 600 – Pop Deco Editions

The Polaroid 600 – Pop Deco Editions is a series of edition of instant cameras. It was introduced by Polaroid Originals in late 2019. They are remanufactured models in various designs. The features are similar to the Polaroid One Step Flash.

The four models, Vernice, Palaza, Marmo and Terazzo, are designed in homage to the Milanese group Memphis. The group was an association of furniture, textile and ceramic designers in the 1980s.

The lens of the Polaroid 600 – Pop Deco Editions cannot be exchanged. The focal length is fixed and is 116 mm (?). The maximum aperture is f/11 (?). The focus of the lens is fixed and cannot be changed.

The Polaroid 600 – Pop Deco Editions has a built-in light meter. The aperture and exposure time are set fully automatically by the instant camera and cannot be fixed. There is a built-in flash for taking pictures in insufficient light.

The Polaroid camera is unique in that it runs on a battery that is part of the film pack or cassette. When you change the film, a new battery is automatically inserted into the camera. However, if you use an expired film, the battery may not be able to be charged. In this case, you can either buy a new film pack or insert the unexposed film in complete darkness into a cassette with a fully charged battery.

What film format is the Polaroid 600 – Pop Deco Editions designed for? The camera exposes films of type 600 format. Suitable instant film is still produced by Polaroid Originals. For black and white images, you can use Polaroid B&W Film for 600*. For colour images, the Polaroid Color Film for 600* is one possibility. There are eight images in one package.
