Godox expands its own range of lights with the Litemons SR20R model. The ring-shaped panel is aimed at users who create video recordings with their smartphone, run livestreams or shoot portraits. The ring design produces a soft light distribution, fills in facial shadows and creates circular catchlights in the pupils. The color rendering aims for natural skin tones but can be flexibly adapted to different shooting environments.

The color temperature can be adjusted steplessly, allowing a shift between warm and cool lighting moods. For colored accents, the light features a full-color RGB mode. In addition, 14 programmed lighting effects are built in, which can be used to simulate dynamic lighting situations for video productions.
A special feature of the model is its wireless connection to the recording device. Via an integrated Bluetooth module, the light connects to the preinstalled camera app on the smartphone. Buttons on the housing allow you to trigger photo or video recordings, adjust focus, or switch between the front and rear cameras. The shooting modes can also be switched directly on the light. When used with iOS devices, the Zoom function must be enabled in the system settings for this.
A movable mount with a 1/4-inch adapter for the smartphone is included in the scope of delivery. The light has three 1/4-inch threads, so setups can be mounted on stands in both portrait and landscape orientation. Integrated feet allow it to be placed directly on smooth surfaces. Three accessory shoes provide room for shotgun microphones, additional handles or compact lights to expand the setup.
Inside, a battery with a capacity of 4800 mAh works, offering a runtime of about 1.5 hours at full brightness. The existing USB-C port allows continuous recharging during ongoing recordings. The panel measures 290 x 40 x 220 millimeters and weighs about 623 grams.
The Godox Litemons SR20R is available now at a price of 89 US dollars. Further details and technical specifications can be found directly at the manufacturer.
