The La Sardina Czar is a 35mm camera from Lomography. It was introduced in October 2011 with the La Sardina Metal Edition – Beluga by Lomography.
With a red and gold design and a body made of metal, this is the La Sardina Metal Edition – Czar.
The book “The Caviar Diaries” was written especially for this version of La Sardina. It was written wil6ka, a community member of Lomography, and comes with the camera. This book describes the search for the most diverse places where caviar is produced.
The La Sardina Metal Edition Czar, like the normal La Sardina, has a super wide angle with a focal length of 22 mm made of plastic. The MX switch allows for easy multiple exposures.
Long exposures are possible with the Bulb mode. The camera also has a connection for a remote shutter release and for a tripod.
Films for the La Sardina
The La Sardina Czar is fed with 35mm film, whether Redscale, color negative film, slide film or black and white film doesn’t matter. These are still easy to get today, especially on the Internet, and are still being developed. Possible films for the La Sardina are the Agfaphoto Vista 200* for color photos and the Kodak T-Max 100* for B&W photos.
The exposure area of the camera is 24mm x 36mm. Usually up to 36 pictures fit on one roll of film. The number of pictures taken is indicated by the film counter.
When the film is full, it can be developed in any laboratory. The color film is a negative film and is processed in the C-41 development process. The C-41 process is standardized and is offered by most developing laboratories. The black and white film must be processed in a special developer.
Scope of delivery
