The La Sardina Beluga is a 35mm camera. In October 2011, the La Sardina Metal Edition – Beluga was presented by Lomography together with the La Sardina Metal Edition – Czar. The Beluga is made of metal and coated in gold and red. It comes together with Fritz the Blitz, which features the matching design.
The 22mm plastic lens has a fixed aperture of f/8 and is a super wide angle lens. The MX switch allows for easy multiple exposures.
The La Sardina Beluga is fed 35mm film (eBay / Amazon*), whether it is Redscale, color negative film, slide film or black and white film. The number of pictures taken is indicated by the film counter. When shooting, make sure the text “Only Shoot if you can red me!” is visible. If not, this can lead to blank negatives and black images.
Long exposures are possible with the Bulb mode. The camera also has a connection for a remote shutter release and for a tripod.
Included with the La Sardina Metal Edition – Beluga are two books, the normal La Sardina book and “The Caviar Diaries”. In a wooden box comes the La Sardina, Fritz the Blitz, the books and the accessories. The Blitz is powered by a CR123A battery (eBay / Amazon*).
