The La Sardina People of Your City is a special edition of the La Sardina. The camera was raffled off as a prize in 2012 on the occasion of the “People and professions of your city” competition.
The competition was organized by Lomography and “Das Telefonbuch”. “Das Telefonbuch” is a publisher of telephone directories from Germany. The wide-angle camera is largely white. On the front is a sketched skyline, the logo of “Das Telefonbuch” and the name of the edition. Along with the camera, Fritz the Blitz is also included in a matching design.
Before taking a picture, the lens must be pulled out and turned until it audibly clicks into place. The imprint to be reminded (“Only Shoot If You Read Me”) is not present on this edition.
Films for the La Sardina
The La Sardina exposes 35mm film. Films of this format are still readily available today and are still being developed. A color film for the 35mm camera would be the Kodak Gold 200*. A possible film for black and white images is the Kodak T-Max 400*.
The color film is designed for development in the C-41 process. This is offered by almost every photo lab. The negatives of the 35mm camera have a size of 24 mm x 36 mm.
